The Wallace Network of States and Districts
Since 2000, Wallace has collaborated with selected states, and districts within those states, to develop education leadership at all levels of the system -- state, district and school -- in order to drive student achievement more broadly and rapidly than one classroom or one school at a time.
Along with a growing body of research, these states and districts are responding to the challenge of: defining the essential elements of leadership; improving the quality of leadership training and development; and providing school leaders with the policies, incentives and job conditions they need to raise student achievement and turn around low-performing schools.
