The National Consortium
The National Consortium (NC) was formed in 2001 to support The Wallace Foundation’s state leadership initiative. NC members provide assistance and support to 21 current SAELP states and their state decision makers, particularly governors, chief state school officers, state legislators and state boards of education in redesigning state policies, laws and practices to strengthen the connection between leadership and the improvement of student achievement. It includes the following organizations:
