Wallace’s Library Power initiative helped highlight the often dormant capacity of school libraries to improve learning and enhance student achievement. This report presents a four-year evaluation of the program, which helped schools to buy new and academically relevant library materials, renovate spaces, increase library use and develop librarians as curriculum planners and active participants in teaching. The report can help educators, policymakers, library staff and others make the case for additional and sustained investment in school libraries.
