New After-School Data Tip Sheets Prod Commentary Money Isn’t Everything

An article in The Atlantic Cities comments on a new series of Wallace tip sheets on using data in after-school programming, saying the set shows ways that data can help cities and program providers sustain and improve programs, even in hard economic times. "Money is power in so many ways when it comes to operating government and quasi-government services. But when the money's not there, knowledge can at least partially fill the gap," the article says. The Atlantic Cities is affiliated with The Atlantic magazine.

Additional news and commentary about the tip sheets appeared in an Education Week blog, an ExpandEd blog post written by Lucy Friedman, president of The After-School Corporation; Philanthropy News Digest; the Afterschool Alliance's blog, Afterschool Snack; Spark Action; and the American Association of School Administrators' e-newsletter.
