The Journal Gazette

Wendy Robinson, superintendent for the Fort Wayne (Indiana) community schools, is scheduled to receive the Joseph E. Hill Superintendent of the Year Award. The award, given by the National Alliance of Black School Educators, recognizes those who have “demonstrated a quality of leadership that resulted in significant positive outcomes for students of African descent.” Robinson said she was honored by the award and called it a tribute to efforts by the community’s school board, teachers and administrators “to make sure all students are educated to high standards.” Wallace is supporting development of systems of accountability and training for Fort Wayne education leaders ranging from aspiring principals to school board members.
