Erin Brownfield is a Communications Officer with the Communities Team at The Wallace Foundation and has been with Wallace since 2005. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing effective communications strategies for Wallace’s Out-of-School Time initiative, managing the Foundation’s advertising, and membership on its Web team.
Prior to joining Wallace, Ms. Brownfield was Director of Communications for Families and Work Institute, a nonprofit research organization focused on changes in work, family and community life in New York City. There, she oversaw the Institute’s strategic communications and marketing, authored or co-authored several publications, acted as Institute spokesperson and gave frequent speeches. She also worked as a writer at Forbes, Inc. in New York.
Ms. Brownfield received a B.A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner School for Public Service. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and young son.
