Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is implementing a comprehensive system of professional development for district leaders, expanding beyond instructional staff, to include the operations and business units, to support sustained student achievement growth. APS is also engaging in work to recruit new leaders and to redesign the roles and responsibilities of district and school leaders.
