Delaware is working to redefine roles and responsibilities for education leaders to make the job more doable and attempting to provide the authority necessary for the leaders to be successful. The state is also addressing the current shortage of highly-qualified school leaders, especially minority candidates, to ensure a diverse qualified pool of school leaders through succession planning.
