Kentucky Profile

Kentucky is engaging universities and districts statewide in redesigning training programs for education leaders and will work with Jefferson County to develop models that redefine roles and responsibilities of education leaders.  The state is also establishing a forum to propose policy changes to address: the conditions that are impeding leaders’ ability to improve student achievement; certification of education leaders; and recruitment, hiring and training issues that research studies uncovered during the first phase of SAELP.
