Oregon Profile

Oregon is redesigning education leadership policy, practice, conditions and licensure.  Efforts center on: helping leaders understand the cultural experiences and assets that each child brings to school and mobilize staff to build upon these assets as a springboard for effective instruction; raising student literacy regardless of the students’ grade level; and improving the quality of the instruction in high schools to increase and sustain student achievement gains, particularly for students who have not achieved educational success.
