A plan by the Henderson Area Arts Alliance and the Henderson Fine Arts Center to take arts to the people has reached a halfway point with the completion of the Fiesta in the Park that took place Thursday in conjunction with Bluegrass in the Park. Over the next two months, two more arts events are scheduled as part of a special series that's part of the State Arts Partnerships for Cultural Participation (START) initiative, a national program funded by the Wallace Foundation. The national program's goal is to establish or enhance "programs to broaden, deepen and diversify community participation in the arts."
