The Wallace Foundation, which gave the district a $5 million grant to create Project Lead, a five-year initiative to recruit and train administrators, has pushed for a communications specialist as have members of the School Committee, Burke said. Part of Ward's salary will be funded with Project Lead money, Burke said.
