Aiesha Eleusizov

Program Officer

 

Aiesha Eleusizov joined The Wallace Foundation as a program officer in 2016. Before then, she spent a number of years supporting the efforts by the education leadership team at Wallace to improve principals and schools. In addition, Eleusizov helped the Council of Chief State School Officers manage Wallace’s Leading Change Learning Community, a periodic gathering of Wallace grantees seeking innovative ways to expand and sustain their education leadership work.

Earlier, Eleusizov served in the Kazakhstan regional program office of the United States Agency for International Development. There, she worked with senior managers to prepare the agency’s five-year strategic plan for five Central Asian states, annually review the progress of the plan’s rollout, and assist with contracts and grants. In addition, she has worked in international adoption, recruited volunteers for Doctors of the World – USA, and taught English in Kazakhstan, Korea and Japan.

Eleusizov holds a master’s degree in public administration from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a bachelor of arts degree in development studies from the University of California at Berkeley.
