Senior Officer, Youth Development Strategy and Operations

​​​​​​​​Charlotte Phillips joined The Wallace Foundation in 2019 as project management officer. In this capacity, she leads the development and management of the systems and processes to ensure that initiatives in Youth Development reflect a sound integration of the work of the foundation’s program, research and communications units.

 

Phillips began her career in education as a public school elementary teacher in Texas in 2001. She has since led efforts at education nonprofits and school districts in the fields of teacher coaching and development, school and system leadership development and talent management. Most recently, Phillips served as the director of strategic initiatives at Achievement First, a charter school network serving more than 12,000 students throughout the northeast. She led efforts to strengthen and broaden the network’s services to students with disabilities and to integrate social, emotional and academic development into the network’s core program. Phillips graduated from the University of Florida and is an alumna of The Broad Residency in Urban Education.​
