Out-of-school time (OST) providers are increasingly asked to provide high quality programming, but have little guidance on how to plan and budget for quality. In a web seminar, Jean Baldwin Grossman, co-author of The Cost of Quality Out-of-School Time Programs, offers key findings from her research and demonstrates how to use the report’s companion online cost-calculator for planning. Gina Warner, who heads an OST effort in New Orleans, discusses mapping of funding sources for OST, while National League of Cities researcher Lane Russell offers four strategies for funding citywide OST systems.
