Administrative Assistant, Education
Jamie Wilson-Murray joined Wallace in 2002. She supports the education team on a variety of administrative projects and works closely with the foundation’s administrative team. Before joining Wallace, she was at PENCIL, a nonprofit group that links principals with business leaders. There, she worked on the organization’s partnership programs, its Pencil Box donations-to-schools effort and the annual Principal for a Day project. Her task was to recruit volunteers to work as principals for one day to engage them in public education.
Before working at PENCIL, Wilson-Murray served as a business development assistant at Forbes’ American Heritage book division. She also began volunteering for God’s Love We Deliver, a nonprofit group that prepares and delivers meals to those with serious illnesses. There she discovered her interest in nonprofit organizations and began her career in the nonprofit sector. Wilson-Murray has a bachelor’s degree from the New School University and an associate’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
