Chief Financial Officer
Mary Geras, director of finance since 1998, joined the foundation in July 1992 as assistant controller. She is responsible for the accounting, budget, audit and tax functions of the foundation.
Geras, who has more than 30 years of diverse accounting experience, came to Wallace from BV Capital Markets Inc, where she was the C.F.O. and compliance officer. Before that, she held positions as an internal auditor at New York Life Insurance Company, manager of financial reporting at Marsh & McLennan Inc., and an auditor at Grant Thornton. Geras is a C.P.A. and earned her B.B.A. summa cum laude from Bernard M. Baruch College, CUNY, and M.S. from Long Island University-CW Post in accounting.
