This is the first time in three years' we've had room to breathe," said Pam Weintraub, CCCHC coordinator. "It's 13 percent growth over the last time we received full funding. It's the first time we ever got what we applied for."
Weintraub said Cumberland County also was one of only nine counties which received "Start Funding," from the Lila Wallace Reader's Digest Fund.
"We received $38,500, exactly what we asked for, to broaden and deepen and diversify participation in the arts," Weintraub said. "We want to identify and remove barriers to participation. We can enhance current programs or develop new programs.
