Omar Salem joined the foundation in 2008. He helps develop the foundation’s Web site, microsites and intranet and maintain their availability, reliability and full functionality. Salem supports the foundation’s communication efforts by sending out periodic e-alerts of Wallace news to the foundation’s list of registered users and implementing search engine and pay-per-click solutions to drive traffic to the Web site. He produces a monthly Web analytics report that provides the Wallace staff with data analysis and insights into usage trends on the foundation’s web site, Twitter postings and other online communications. Salem helps produce videos for the foundation’s Web site, filming and co-editing with communications staff.
Before joining Wallace, Salem worked as the Web administrator for Avenue-e Health Strategies, a marketing company, and an IT technician at MZI Global, also a marketing company. Well-versed in SharePoint, he has a master’s degree in computer science from Pace University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baruch College.
