The National League of Cities identifies 27 larger U.S. cities that have made significant strides in building systems to support after-school programming. The report documents how each of cities went about its work and finds some common practices, including placing strong emphasis on data-informed decision-making and taking steps to improve the quality of programs. An appendix provides detailed profiles of each city.
