Attended by over 400 participants around the globe, the second conversation in Reimagining the Future of the Arts begins with the question, “What can we learn from high-performing and turnaround arts organizations?”

The jumping off point is a recent study by Zannie Voss, Ph.D. and director of SMU Data-Arts, one of the country’s leading centers for arts research, the Alchemy of High-Performing Arts Organizations. Using a technique borrowed from the business world, the research offers analysis and insights into approaches adopted by especially healthy arts institutions – and other organizations that were in distress but managed to turn things around. Her findings were followed by a conversation with others working in various disciplines in different parts of the country (see below for complete list of panelists).

The series brings together leading experts in the field to facilitate conversations around some of the most pressing issues facing the arts sector today. Each conversation is grounded in research commissioned or supported by Wallace.
