Implementation Tips
The report recommends three strategies for bringing about change:
- Involve those who hold a stake in reform in crafting policy. That builds buy-in.
- Couple mandates with adequate support. That increases the odds that those held to new expectations can meet them.
- Use school leadership reform as a strategy to support higher-profile education priorities. This could include state or national efforts to improve teaching or learning.
